I hope that these drawings allude to the mobility of the human body through the preceptual scanning of objects and their environmental relationships. Lines, therefore, at least in how I sense that they operate at the time, might be said to loosely correspond to eye movements and accumulate around objects and proportions of focus. The hand, however, applies differing degrees of pressure to lines, and this, as though autonomous of vision except insofar as it concerns tonality and contrast, may help to register feeling. |
